Again the U.S. saves us?

This article Wired News: All Bets Are Off, Online Anyway discusses the US governments policy with online gambling, casino advertisement, etc and I have to say, our government sure does it's best to protect us from ourselves. I mean, who am I to decide for myself wether I can gamble online? I have no idea what else to say. I don't gamble and would not if it were legal but some of this really smacks of lost freedom to me...
