Epson's Electronic Paper - World's Highest Resolution

Epson has developed electronic paper, a slim flexible display made from plastic. At just 0.47mm thick, the electronic paper consumes only 6v, including power for the drive, during programming. The display uses technology that locks the image on the screen so the content shows even if the paper is powered off. The bizarre thing in my eyes is the displays resolution, it is the best in the world at QXGA 1536 x 2048. Great read here, hope to be seeing this in real world use, news - Epson Develops A6-Size Electronic Paper with World's Highest Resolution Using Plastic Substrate
