New Game: Halloween Ghost Busters

Halloween Ghost Busters is a "mashup" game. I did not create the game play, instead I changed the Archery game the Popfly Team created by adding Halloween graphics. To play this game you shoot ghosts by pointing and clicking with your mouse. Try to hit the white ghosts and avoid hitting the "invisible" ghosts. Hitting invisible ghosts will decrease your score as does each arrow you shoot. You must clear 200 points to win this game. You can check out Halloween Ghost Busters in the Free Online Games Gallery.

New Game: Invasion Defense

Invasion Defense is a basic tower defense game. This was an ambitious project for my second game. I spent a few weeks learning my way around the Popfly Game Creator trying to get this game to work the way I intended it to. I ran into many limitations that kept me from making it a better defense game. I have since thought of ways to make it work as I intended it originally but I am reluctant to make the changes due to the amount of time it would take. Instead I have started a different version with custom graphics and a better thought out game design.

To play Invasion Defense you deploy turrets to protect your base by dragging them from your control panel and dropping them on the play field. Every round you are given a clean play field and need to redeploy your turrets. Each turret has a different function and I plan on updating the how to play screen in the future with what each turret does. This game has four levels total and the last level features a boss to do battle with. You can play Invasion Defense by going to the Free Online Games Gallery.

New Game: Falling Blocks 2

The first game I created using Microsoft's Game Creator was called Falling Blocks. I did not put this game in the Free Games Gallery because it is a bit too simple and needed some work. So, from that game comes Falling Blocks 2. I know, real inspirational name ;) Falling Blocks 2 has a few more advanced concepts than Falling Blocks does, such as: Needing to catch at least one of each color to win. A small graphical displaying tracking which colors you have already caught. And, a more natural, faster, movement. You can check Falling Blocks 2 out in the Free Online Games Gallery.

Grand Gravey Games Gallery

For the past month or so I have been playing with Microsoft's Game Creator. While learning my way around the controls I created some games. I have decided to share my games on my site here by creating a Game Gallery. As I create a new game I will post about it here and add it to the gallery. I don't know how often I will create a game nor what kinds of games I will work on. I do hope to post a game every month or two but if you follow my blog you know I can vanish for months at a time due to personal life issues and not get back to posting or working on these hobbies until there is time for them. Anyhow, without further ado, check out the Free Games Gallery. I will be posting more about the games, using, and other things of this nature in the near future. If you have any requests or ideas for types of games you would like to see in the gallery, please leave it in a comment.

Not Dead...

I am still alive and well, even though the ol' blog looks like I might be ;) Anyhow, I have so many things to post about it is unreal. I literally have a list sitting on my desk. My problem, as always, is time. I will make time this weekend to make a few posts about different topics and to post some new images. Until then, happy gaming.
